Middle school and high school can be tough. Is your teen struggling with school, in their relationships with friends, with you? Do they appear to be irritable, withdrawn, unmotivated, sad? Do you notice changes in sleep, sudden changes in peer group, changes in personality? You may be wondering if your child is just going through a phase or if it is something more serious than that. Whether this behavior is due to anxiety, depression, bullying, or problems at home, it should be addressed as quickly as possible.

In working with teenagers, I strive to build a strong therapeutic relationship so that your child feels comfortable within the therapeutic setting.  I conduct a thorough intake history with parents or guardians during the first meeting to gather background information and to obtain a solid understanding of the problem areas. During the second meeting I will meet with the adolescent conduct a brief intake so that I can get to know your child better and create treatment goals. During subsequent therapy sessions I will use a mixture of evidence based therapeutic approaches and creative means to help improve your adolescent's behavior and overall quality of life.
